Brunel Institute for the
ss Great Britain trust
The Brunel Institute is a world-class conservation and education centre comprising a conservation suite & archive, major reference library, lecture theatre and seminar rooms, education space, teaching offices and a new ticket and reception area alongside Brunel’s masterpiece, the ss Great Britain. Through a major electrical contractor Cannon Fire & Security were the specified installers for the Fire Detection, CCTV, Intruder Alarm and Access Control systems.
Amy Williams sports, creative & performing arts suite at Hayesfield Girls School, Bath
The 4,200 sqm development provides a new, high quality, purpose-built sports and performing arts facility for the school’s 1,144 students. The new state-of-the-art facilities include: a sports hall, a 350 seat theatre and music suite, new gymnasium and dance studio, fitness suite, art classroom and exhibition space, refectory, open learning centre as well as a new reception area and two general teaching classrooms. Through a major electrical contractor, on behalf of ISG Pearce, Cannon Fire and Security were commission to install the following systems:
- 122 zone intruder alarm
- 460 device analogue addressable fire alarm
- 24 camera IP-CCTV system
- 18 door fully networked access control
- Disabled refuge
- Video door entry
Bristol & Bath Science Park
Bristol & Bath Science Park is a new, world-class facility supporting science and technology businesses to accelerate their growth and success. Set within a 59-acre site at Emerson’s Green in North East Bristol the £40m design and build project anticipates 830,000 square feet of occupied space to be built out over the next 15 years. On behalf of Kier Construction Cannon Fire & Security were commissioned to project manage, install and maintain the site wide fibre-optic based CCTV system.
